Meet Cassie

Cassie Karanicolos is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, Director at The Sound Club, and a proud member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Cassie has extensive experience supporting children across a range of areas, including expressive and receptive language, social language, speech sound development, literacy, and stuttering.

Cassie has a particular passion for supporting children with complex communication profiles through the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has implemented a wide range of low-tech and high-tech AAC systems to suit each child’s unique communication style, ensuring that every individual has meaningful, accessible ways to express themselves.

Cassie has experience supporting children with diverse sensory, emotional regulation, and behavioural profiles.

Cassie is dedicated to providing evidence-based, neuroaffirming, and strengths-focused care, continually engaging with current research to ensure her practice reflects the latest understanding in communication development and neurodiversity. Cassie has completed additional training in the Sounds Write Literacy Program, The Lidcombe Program, and Key Word Sign.

Cassie’s warm and bubbly personality helps children to feel safe and comfortable to try their best, even when it might be challenging for them. It is highly important to Cassie that she provides family centred care, working with teachers and other health professionals to maintain the best care for your child.
